FarquharsonKaren Farquharson BSC, ACA, MBA

Within Proving Services, Karen is responsible for Client Assignment Delivery and Process Definition.

Karen has been responsible for completing assignments with major UK-based organisations and public sector institutions. Much of the work undertaken for these companies has involved a comprehensive assessment of Portfolio investments using the Proving Process and Toolkit.

Prior to the formation of Proving Services in 2002, Karen spent 12 years with Cranfield University, including roles as Management Accountant and as Head of Information Systems at Cranfield School of Management. During this time, she worked closely with the School’s managers and academics to develop an integrated and market focused approach to client relationship management, supported by leading-edge systems.

Karen is a Chartered Accountant and completed a Cranfield MBA in 1995.

Simon-WilsonSimon Wilson: Director

Within Proving Services, Simon has particular responsibility for overseeing Software & Business Development.

He has also led the creation and management of the Future Highways Research Group; successfully identifying, testing and implementing innovative solutions for the highways challenges faced by local authorities.

Prior to the formation of Proving Services, Simon spent four years as Director of IT for Cranfield School of Management. During this time he was responsible for replacing the School’s infrastructure and introducing leading edge, client focused applications to support the changing needs of the School of Management.

Previously, Simon was a director of a management consultancy and systems house specialising in the development of strategy planning software.

 

Andy Perrin, FCCA, IPFA: Director

Within Proving Services, Andy is responsible for Business Development, Partner Engagement and Client Assignment Delivery. He also leads Proving’s work with the Fire & Rescue sector.

Andy joined Proving in 2017. He was previously with CIPFA (Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy) where as Executive Director of Commercial Operations he was responsible for the design, development and delivery of CIPFA’s support to public sector organisations around the globe seeking to transform their services and improve and demonstrate their financial management, governance and value for money. Andy also established CIPFA’s Central Government, Local Government and Health faculties to provide cutting edge thought leadership and commercial support to these sectors. He was also integral to the founding of CIPFA’s world renowned Counter Fraud Centre.

Prior to joining CIPFA in 2011, Andy spent many years with the Audit Commission, most latterly as Head of Operations for the East of England. During this time, he worked extensively with boards and executive management teams across the public sector and led many of the Commission’s high profile Comprehensive Performance Assessment, Corporate Governance and Use of Resources reviews.
